Our Choirs

Peterborough Sings is made up of three award winning choirs with over 200 members from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels.

Peterborough Male Voice Choir

Directed by William Prideaux, Peterborough Male Voice Choir is recognised as one of the country’s finest male choirs, with an impressive concert schedule and a track record of national and international competition success.

In 2017 they won the male voice class at the Mrs Sunderland Festival in Huddersfield and at the prestigious Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts, where the adjudicators described their performance as “vocal magic”. In 2018 they won the male voice class at the North Wales Choral Festival, and in 2019 – with Peterborough Voices – they were awarded the Centenary Trophy for the ‘most outstanding individual item’ of the Huddersfield Mrs Sunderland Festival

In recent years they have performed with world-renowned musicians including the King’s Singers, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, legendary soprano Leslie Garret, folk hero John Boden of Bellowhead, the Central Band of the RAF and the BBC Concert Orchestra – among others – in spectacular venues from Truro Cathedral to Sage Gateshead and all points in between, regularly featuring on local and national radio.
